About me
So you want to find out more about me.
Weeeeell, this page is a great start.
⚠️ DANGER: You’re about to read (part of) my story.
👋 Hi, I’m Costin,
Someone who rides this wave called life, always looking for exploring more of the World 🗺, learning new things 📚, building stuff 👨🏻💻 and meeting new people.
My passion? To travel. 🌎 Travel is my biggest addiction, I simply adore the smell of a new place, the excitement of planning a new destination, discovering new cultures and taking lots, lots, lots of pictures. 📸
I’m that friend in the group who likes putting the hours ⌛️ in having everything ready for the next trip. This is a place where I will share stories from my adventures (and I have lots!), guides and many many tips & tricks I have to tell you about!
If you’re still reading this, wow, you didn’t get bored! 🙏 Well, the next part of the page has more details on me if this is what you’re looking for. If not, please send me your feedback while exploring the website!
How everything begins.
I slowly discovered travel ever since I was 6 years old. My mother signed me up for a traditional dance group in my home town, Campulung, which happened to be invited to an international competition in Turkey. You can imagine how exciting was for a little child to visit a new country, especially in such a scenario. It became even better for this thing to repeat for a few years.
After that, I joined a super nice NGO just before starting highschool, allowing me to take part in a lot of impactful initiatives, but also to participate in many youth exchanges across Europe. This is when I really started to understand how great meeting new cultures is, how beautiful the World is, and that I want to discover it all!

What next?
Right after starting Uni, me and two of my best friends heard about a program happening in the USA. Some sort of a student exchange, allowing us to work there in a restaurant for a few months and travel a few weeks more after.
For sure, the experience of a lifetime and some stories still helping me as an ice breaker. Sleepless nights, sleeping in the car, sleeping anywhere. Roadtrips, ocean, many new friends, and first time living in a new country for a few months.
With every day passing, I wanted to see more, explore more and I have easily started developping an unconscious desire to visit as many places as possible.

Things are getting serious.
Focusing on my career became an important thing for me while growing up and being a student. Things aligned incredible, as for my last two summers before graduating, I managed to combine the work and passion for travel like a dream.
I was accepted for two summer internships as a Software Engineer, one in London and one in New York, also fulfilling one of my bucketlist items, to work and live in New York. That specific summer has some of the best days of my life, especially because of meeting people I speak to almost daily ever since.

Still exploring.
Pure joy is what I feel when exploring a new place. I love making the plans for the next trip, researching the best locations, restaurants or instagrammable spots and putting everything together in my personalized guide.
That’s why I mostly prefer “do it yourself” kind of trips. I like having my own schedule, trying to optimize as much as possible the things I want to see, while also looking for the lowest possible cost (in order to have budget allocated for as many adventures as possible).
From finding 5€ flights to booking the best deal on where to stay, hunting such things is part of the journey.

I also like sports.
Merging more passions together is an ideal scenario so part of my trips, I also try to include when possible different events I’d like to attend to.
This can be the concert of a band I love or a festival, a one-time show, or a sports event (I mostly watch tennis, F1 and football).
And that’s a wrap! Hope you enjoyed this partial story of mine.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to me and I hope you’ll find nice things here!
